China:  China is another country with some beautiful tourist attractions. Some of the most visited locations of China are listed bellow:

 Great Wall of China is one of the historic architecture of world which is seen from moon. It keeps its position for a long time as a tourist spot located at Badaling area of China. More than 10 million visitors visit this wall in a year.

The Forbidden City/ Tienanmen Square are another most visited location of China located at Beijing. About 7 million visitors visit this city in a year.

Hong Kong Disneyland is another Disney park located at Hong Kong in China where 5.5 million visitors visit this park in a year.

United Kingdom (UK):  UK is another country with large number of tourist attractions. Some of the most visited areas of UK are listed bellow:

 Trafalgar Square is one of the beautiful tourist attraction of UK which is located at London in England. More than 15 million tourists visited this spot in a year.

Forbes Traveler released a ranking of the world’s 50 most visited tourist attractions in 2007 including both international and domestic tourists. Where we found few country of the world which are popular and so called most visited country of the world. I will post a series of post according to these phenomena.....

United States of America (USA):  USA is a country with large number of tourist attractions. Most of the tourist areas of USA are world wide popular and most visited. Some of the most visited areas of USA are listed bellow:

Times Square, New York City, with 35million visitors in a single year.

About Tourists

A question may be appearing in my readers mind which is “Who are tourists?” and it is natural. Tourists are one of the principal research issues for tourism research. Let’s know who the tourist in tourism sectors is.

   According to the World Tourism Organization(WTO)  “The temporary visitors staying in a place outside their usual place of residence, for a continuous period of at least 24 hours but less than one year, for leisure, business or other purposes.” 

(World Tourism Organization, 1993)

Which is the mostly accepted definition even at now.

      

      

Types of tourism part 2

In my last post, I have described about some types of tourism according to some definition of tourism given by tourist experts. Now I want to give you a clear idea about types of tourism. Typifying of tourism derived from the nature and need of a tourist. Here I describe different types of tourism.

Encouragement tourism: Encouragement tourism is a kind of tourism where tourists are those few lucky individuals who gain a tour offer as a reward of his/her hard work, intelligence, good personality to his/her boss. This type of tourism also gains by a student or a sales man for their good performance in their own sectors.

Medical tourism: Sometimes doctors give prescription to make a tour for special medical treatment, which is only possible away from home. This type of tourism which is made only for medical treatment is called as medical tourism. Many health or medical tourists also make trips simply to stay for few days in healthier climate.

Trade tourism: Tourist traveling with relation to business is known as trade tourism. Trade tourism is a one of the most important part for a big business and industry holders. Most of the cities of the tourism location made conference centers only for needs of trade tourists. Trade tourism arranged for interrelation between business persons around the world.

Types of tourism

As another sectors tourism also divided into different types and forms. People around the world make their tour for several reasons like as someone travel only for relaxation on the other hand someone travel for his/her necessity.

       According to the tourism experts we have a direction about types of tourism. During the first half of 20^th century Poser gave an idea about type of tourism in 1939 on the paper: “Der Fremdenverkehr

im Riesengebirge”. Where Poser distinguishes several types of tourism: tourism by transit, summer relaxation, winter sports, short distance relaxation.

After that Hunziker and Krampf gave another idea about tourism in 1941.They informed as:  travel for rest and treatment, pilgrimage, and scientific knowledge, etc.

But we have got a clear idea about tourism in 1965(Jülg, Ruppert) and in 1970(Maier). They all said that tourism has six types as: tourism of recreation, tourism of therapy, tourism of visitation, tourism of reduced distance relaxation, transit by tourism and professional tourism.

From above analysis we can conclude that tourism has following types

•     Relaxing tourism

•    Health care tourism

•  Visiting tourism

•  Transit tourism

• Reduced distance tourism

•  Professional tourism.

Advantages and disadvantages of Tourism

It is difficult to express the advantages and disadvantages of tourism by a post. My last post about tourism where I gave some advantages of tourism,

Now I want to describe more about advantages and disadvantages of tourism.

Advantages of tourism

•   Foreign currency especially US dollar brought to the destination host country by tourist; these help the host country government to pay foreign debt and exchange for export and import.

• Tourism gives job thousands of people of host country in different ways such as tour guides or hotel housekeeping, taxi driving, transportation, hotels, restaurants, car rental agencies, tour companies, service stations, souvenir shops, sports equipment rentals etc.

• The tourism industry also gives opportunities for small and medium business enterprises. Local communities are benefited through contribution by tourism to the improvement of the social infrastructure like schools, libraries, health care institutions, internet cafes, and so on, that can be important in rural communities and generates more taxes for host country government.

• Tourism provides financial support for the conservation of ecosystems and natural resource management and also contributes to beautify the tourist areas.

• Tourism helps to preservation of traditional customs, handicrafts and culture. Conversation between hosts and guests create a better cultural understanding and can also help raise global awareness about human right and contribute eradicate poverty.

• Tourism helps conservation of wildlife and natural resources such as rain forests, mangrove forests, and hilly forests and generates funding for maintaining animal also reduces problems such as over-fishing and deforestation in developing nations.

• Who makes a tour can easily broad his/her mind to see beautiful landscapes, interesting wildlife, large beaches , waterfalls , mountains, forests, green diversity and plants, and be educated about ecosystems of the world.
  

Above I describe about some important advantages of tourism for both tourists and host country. According to the laws of sir Newton, “Every action has its same and opposite reactions”.

What is tourism: An analysis

I thought that I give a post about south Asian tourism information but I think my blog is new and I have to clear about tourism. My current post is about some questions and answers which may help you to realize tourism and the importance of tourism.

What is tourism?

    Tour is the process of refreshing mind by going far from home. It is a medium of relaxation, recreation, entertainment. Where tourism is a mechanism for the implementation of a Tour.

 According to Mathieson and Wall (1982) definition of tourism as "the temporary movement of people to destinations outside their normal places of work and residence, the activities undertaken during their stay in those destinations, and the facilities created to cater to their needs."

According to Macintosh and Goeldner (1986) tourism is "the sum of the phenomena and relationships arising from the interaction of tourists, business suppliers, host governments and host communities in the process of attracting and hosting these tourists and other visitors."

Tourism : The latest sensation of the world

Currently the most discussed topics in the world is travel . Each person has a hobby that he himself alone or with loved ones travel to distant places all around the world . And this is why the tourism sector is going forward. I have made this blog for the people who are interested about traveling . If anybody get any help from my blog I will be then a lucky person .
